Kyle Field Day
MSC Freshmen In Service and Hosting (MSC FISH) has proudly hosted Kyle Field Day (KFD) for the past 10 years. KFD is a one day service event hosted in the concourse of the one and only Kyle Field and has garnered thousands of participants and hundreds of organizations coming together for a one day event serving not only the Bryan/College Station community, but also communities across the state and further! The purpose of Kyle Field Day is to provide the students of Texas A&M a chance to actively engage in service and seek continued involvement in the community. By providing a wide variety of service opportunities, we look to engage both individuals and organizations.
The service done at KFD can be broken down into two types of projects, booth projects and anchor projects. Booth projects are smaller-scale, with examples being crafting ornaments or making blankets. Anchor projects are larger-scale, with examples being painting a picnic table or putting together a doghouse. Past KFDs have included live music, appearances from special guests such as Yell Leaders and Reveille, food trucks, and other activities to guarantee a day full of service and fun. The Kyle Field Day experience embodies the Aggie core values of selfless service, excellence, leadership and loyalty. Other Aggie traditions such as B.U.I.L.D. began as a booth KFD. This year we were glad to be back in Kyle Field, providing an opportunity to students and the B/CS community to #sharetheirservice with others.
